Important Information
We are excited to announce you can now attend Mass without registering on the Sign up Genius website. Mass times will remain the same to allow us to disinfect after every Mass.
Please keep in mind, we will continue to monitor attendance – no more than 150 people will be allowed to attend per Mass. Currently we are averaging between 50-90 people per Mass.
We will continue to have our Hospitality Ministers seat you at the next available pew and we ask that you follow their instructions and the general liturgical norms during Mass;
All physical contact should be avoided, especially when greeting people before and after Mass, and during the Sign of Peace and the Lord’s Prayer.
The gifts of bread and wine will not be brought forward in procession.
Distribution of Communion to the assembly will be limited to the species of bread.
Communion may be distributed by a priest, deacon, or Eucharistic minister or seminarian who is an instituted acolyte.
All must wear a mask or face covering to distribute Communion.
Hospitality ministers will guide the entire pew to the Communion Procession so that social distancing is maintained. If you are not receiving Eucharist we ask that you cross your arms over your chest let them know you will be receiving a blessing.
Reception of Communion should be only in the hand. Please do not remove your mask nor consume in front of Priest/Deacon/Minister. We ask you step 3 feet to the side, lift your mask from the bottom up to consume Eucharistic.
Public bathrooms will remain closed and water fountains will be unavailable.
Holy water fonts will remain empty. However, you may bring water in a plastic bottle to be blessed after Mass.
We have removed all hymnals and missalettes from pews. We recommend the use of the MyParish App for daily and weekend readings/gospel or you may bring your own prayer book.
Tithing will be made after Mass. We encourage you to use the MyParish App or the kiosk for your tidings.
There will be hand sanitizer stations placed at the Church entrance that we are welcome to use.
For the safety of our community, if you are feeling unwell, please stay home and join us in celebrating Mass on our facebook page (St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church 915).
